Parent workshop
Raising a Resilient Athlete — Cohort Programme
A structured programme for parents of competitive athletes — experienced together.
The same programme. A different experience.
The Raising a Resilient Athlete Cohort Programme covers the same material as the online course — the parental role, communication, motivation, performance anxiety and the psychological climate around the young athlete.
The difference is how the learning happens.
In the cohort format, a small group of parents moves through the programme together in a series of structured virtual sessions. The content is identical. But the experience of recognising your own challenges in someone else's story — and working through them in dialogue with other parents in the same situation — adds a dimension that a self-paced course cannot replicate.
Who this is for
The cohort format is well suited for parents who prefer structured conversation over self-paced study, and for groups who want to go through the programme together — whether that is a group of parents from the same club, a team, or an organised group who want to share the experience.
Clubs and parent groups interested in running a cohort together are welcome to reach out directly.
Format
The programme is delivered as a series of virtual sessions covering all nine modules. Sessions are scheduled across a defined period, with time for reflection and discussion built into each session.
Group size is deliberately kept small to ensure that every participant has space to contribute and be heard.

"Hello Morten,
It was a really good lecture in HEI a couple of weeks ago.
We have applied the new insight and have already achieved a lot - including a seemingly more calm / relaxed girl who is looking forward too both training and matches.
Since your presentation, xxxx and I have not unsolicited asked for results and personal performance, but have only had a dialogue about expectations, development and well-being regarding our daughter and the team. It has given a completely different atmosphere and seems more constructive in relation to development as we can feel that she reflects on the dialogue we have.
I also hear from the other parents and coaches that the presentation has left its mark, so it will be exciting to follow the group in the future. Hope that HEI might follow up next year with something similar."
